We'd like you to meet Kim Peters! She is one of our Agency Partners here at PNW Insurance Group and we'd love for you to get to know her a little bit!
A Little More About Me:
I am a teacher at heart. I started my teaching career right out of college teaching Physical Education and Health in Port Angeles, WA. Then, I wanted to be closer to the big city, so I accepted a teaching and coaching position at Skyline High School in Sammamish, WA in 1997.
I must say, I was surprised at the cost of living increase when I moved to Issaquah. That led me to work two jobs teaching by day and working insurance by night. I enjoyed educating people about insurance so much, that I decided to leave teaching in 1999 and pursue my own insurance agency with Farmers Insurance.
I wanted more for my clients, so in 2010 I left Farmers insurance and joined an independent brokerage. This gave me the resources to offer various insurance products that would fit each and every one of my client’s insurance needs.
Being in the insurance industry, I realized how many people really don’t know about insurance and I made it my mission to take the time to educate my clients about insurance and how it will protect them in case of a catastrophic loss. For this reason, In 2014 we started PNW Insurance Group, LLC to be able to run our agency based on Education first, Not the SALE. We take pride in knowing we are locally owned and a part of our communities in which we work, live and play!
My partner and I live in Bonney Lake, WA. We have a beautiful daughter named Evin. We currently have 3 dogs, Cole, Harlo and Jake. At any time we can accumulate more dogs!! Petfinder.com is our weakness.
My partner and I played college basketball so my daughter has had to put up with us coaching her since she was 5. I just accepted a coaching position at Bonney Lake High School coaching Varsity Girls Basketball. I am super excited for this opportunity to work with these players. GO PANTHERS!!!
My family loves food! We will hunt down the newest restaurant and try it. Our favorite hangout is Hops N Drops in Bonney Lake. The staff knows us by first name. I am hoping we get our very own booth someday ????
Every summer we spend time in Beaulah, Michigan. We have a cottage on Crystal Lake. Most of our family resides in Michigan so we make it a point to see them every year. We love water sports and, of course, eating out!!! We are huge University of Michigan Fans. Go BLUE!!
